Is the data real time?

Yes. Gaudio OTT provides real-time data on stocks, indices and futures, on the Free plan as well as on the paid plans. You do not need to upgrade to see live prices.

On the dashboard and on the Intraday pages, data refreshes automatically every 60 seconds. Next to the charts a countdown shows the time remaining until the next refresh, so you always know how fresh the numbers you are reading are.

You do not have to do anything: leave the page open and the values update on their own. Coming back to a tab you had left in the background also triggers an immediate refresh.

Every chart toolbar also has a manual refresh button, for when you want the current value without waiting for the countdown.

A few things are intentionally not live ticks:

  • Eurex options chains (pan-European equity and index options) show end-of-day settlement prices. They are marked with an EOD - Eurex badge and have no intraday bid/ask, because the free Eurex reference data is published after settlement.
  • Automatic volatility snapshots and ATM Vola history are recorded at fixed times during the session. They are a deliberate record of past moments, not a live value — that is the point of a snapshot.
  • The Opportunities Scanner works from a market-wide scan that completes every few minutes and is then shared by all users; the banner at the top of the page always states the time the data refers to.
  • When the market is closed or a feed is momentarily unavailable, some pages show the last available session and say so explicitly in a yellow banner.
  • Reading a stale tab. If the countdown has stopped because the browser suspended the tab, click the manual refresh button.
  • Expecting bid/ask on a European chain. For Eurex instruments bid and ask are shown as -; use the settlement price and the theoretical price instead.
  • Comparing two charts refreshed at different moments. Each page has its own countdown; check the Last update value before comparing two numbers to the decimal.

Frequently asked questions

Is Gaudio OTT market data real time?

Yes. Real-time data on stocks, indices and futures is available on the Free plan as well as on the paid plans, with no delay to unlock.

How often does the data refresh?

Dashboard and intraday pages refresh automatically every 60 seconds, and a countdown next to the charts shows the time remaining until the next refresh. Returning to a background tab triggers an immediate refresh, and every chart toolbar has a manual refresh button.

Do I have to click anything to keep prices updated?

No. Leave the page open and values update on their own every minute. The manual refresh button exists only for when you do not want to wait for the countdown.

Why does a European options chain have no bid and ask?

Pan-European equity and index options are sourced from Eurex end-of-day settlement data, which is published after the close and contains no intraday quotes. Those chains are marked with an EOD - Eurex badge and show a settlement price and a theoretical price instead.

What does the yellow banner about the last available session mean?

It means the market is closed or the data for today is not available yet, so the page is showing the most recent complete session, with its date stated in the banner.
